HOT PINK, LIME GREEN AND BLACK — SO, SO PRETTY

Laci and Blake chose hot pink and lime green as their color scheme for their wedding, and here are some pics!  The photographer was Joel Austell, who — as you can see — is a wonderful photographer!   Under the beautifully decorated arch is Reverend Brent Edwards, Reverend Brent.

Laci’s bouquet was made of hot pink gerbera daisies, bells of Ireland, and variegated hot pink and green ti leaves.

The pomander ball was decorated in lime green kermit mums and hot pink mums.  Pomander balls are oftentimes carried by the flower girl.  But in this case, they were hung from the arch!

How cute is this?  Laci and Blake’s favors  to their guests were these martini glasses filled with lime green jelly beans with a hot pink gerbera daisy on top!

“BOHEMIAN RUSTIC” WAS THE THEME FOR ALISO CREEK INN’S BRIDAL OPEN HOUSE

OMG!  Reher’s created the floral centerpieces of the year for the bridal open house at Aliso Creek Inn this past Sunday, and they were STUNNING!  The setting at Aliso Creek Inn was just perfect for this type of tablescape.  “Bohemian Rustic” was the vision that Krystal Neitzkye, Sales & Catering manager, had for this fun, fun event.  Krystal decided to go with square tables that will seat 10 instead of the usual round tables, and the result was beyond dramatic.  Fusion Linens provided burnt orange linens, chocolate brown napkins and a totally IN and FABULOUS burlap runner down the center of the table.  The chocolate brown chivari chairs made the absolutely stunning table!  Get in touch with Krystal ASAP to reserve your date!

The burlap table runner was PERFECT for us to put the grapevine branch.  We wove vine around the branch and placed lime green, hot pink, gold, yellow, and burgundy mini cymbidium orchids along with bird nests, pheasant feathers, dragonflies, magnolia leaves, and peacock feathers — too fun!!!!

Note from the Wedding Florist… “Think creatively when it comes to the shape of your tables for your reception.  Consider doing a square or rectangle table that seats 10 or 12 guests.  It’s a unique, fun, and fresh idea!  Krystal and Luis, you two are the BEST, and we look forward to doing some ‘Bohemian Rustic’ weddings at Aliso Creek!”

LIME GREEN, NAVY AND IVORY WERE THE COLORS KELLY & JARED’S WEDDING AT THE BASILILCA AND MARBELLA COUNTRY CLUB

Reher’s was beyond honored to be a part of the gorgeous wedding of Kelly and Jared this past Saturday in San Juan Capistrano.  The ceremony took place at the Basilica next to the Mission, and the reception was held at Marbella Country Club.

Kelly’s bouquet was absolutely stunning!  She wanted Reher’s to use full sized white calla lilies, lime green mini cymbidium orchids, grey berzillia berries, dusty miller, and white tulips.  The stems were wrapped with fabric from her grandmother’s wedding dress.  This one was a STUNNER!

The bridesmaids’ bouquets were lime green calla lilies, bells of Ireland, and lime green roses.  They totally popped against the navy blue dresses!

Jared’s boutonniere was a white mini calla with grey berzillia berries and dusty miller.  It looked amazing next to his medium grey suit!

Theme:  Fresh  ::  Organic  ::  Natural

Wedding Colors :: Navy  ::  Lime Green  :: Ivory

Materials::  Calla lilies, lime green cymbidium orchids, white tulips, white mini calla lilies, green calla lilies, green roses

Budget:  $$$

Note from the Wedding Florist… “We love it when one of our Brides wants us to use something sentimental in their bouquet.  In Kelly’s case, we got to use a swatch of her grandmother’s wedding dress to wrap the stems of her bouquet.  Again, thank you, Kelly and Jared, for allowing us to be a part of your wedding celebration.  GO PIRATES!!!!”

A SPECTACULAR WEDDING OVERLOOKING THE AMAZING DANA POINT HARBOR

Last but CERTAINLY not least of the FIVE — yes, we did five weddings this past weekend – weddings that Reher’s did this past weekend was at The Charthouse in Dana Point.  Kathy and Eric exchanged vows in the stunning garden overlooking Dana Point Harbor.  Kathy’s favorite color is Tiffany blue — well, come on now.   Isn’t every woman’s favorite color Tiffany blue? — and the accents she chose for her wedding decor was white and silver.

Reher’s used white hydrangea, white stock, and white dendrobium orchids for the tall cylinder topper arrangements.  There were two satellite arrangements that were in a silver julep cup with white dendrobium orchid blossoms, dusty miller, and a touch of gray moss flanked the tall arrangements.

The cake was also Tiffany blue decorated with white dendrobium orchid blossoms.  Very pretty, very fun, and VERY Kathy!

The bouquets were all white with the bridesmaids’ bouquets having the Tiffany blue ribbon.  It was an amazing wedding to end an amazing weekend at Reher’s!

Note from the Wedding Florist…  “Yes, you read it correctly.  Reher’s did five weddings last weekend, a definite record for this 35-year-old shop!  It could NOT have been done without the amazing staff here at Reher’s, and at the top of that very esteemed list is Katy, our designer who celebrated her 25th-year anniversary at Reher’s last week.  Katy made detailed lists of all the flowers that were going to go in each bouquet, centerpiece, and aisle clutch.  You rock, Katy!  And, Dina, Katy’s “sous designer” as she is affectionately known, did a fabulous job of “gettin’ it done.”  We are honored and blessed to have this dedicated staff at Reher’s.

DOVE CANYON COUNTRY CLUB WAS THE VENUE CHOSEN BY JILLIAN AND BRIAN FOR THEIR EVENING WEDDING

Dove Canyon Country Club  in Trabuco Canyon was the setting this past Saturday for the wedding of Jillian and Brian.  Becky and Sara were the perfect hostesses for the beautiful ceremony and reception held right before dusk!

The entry to Dove Canyon Country Club is just beautiful.  One immediately feels the warmth of the wood and the awe of the high ceilings — a perfect and inviting place for Jillian and Brian’s guests to mingle before being taken downstairs to the outside ceremony site.  Rumor has it that this is where one of Orange County’s favorite sons, John Wayne, came to hunt dove when he lived here.

The grand piano was the AMAZING cake stand for Jillian and Brian’s cake.  So clever and SO beautiful!

The ceremony was held down on the outdoor ceremony site with a spectacular backdrop of Dove Canyon.  The chuppah was decorated very simply with ivory fabric, and ivory and yellow rose petals were dusted down the aisle.

Yellow mistine orchids were skewered on black decorative wire and were placed down the aisle.  After the ceremony, the cylinders were moved inside to the reception and placed on guest tables.

The reception was moved back inside to the warm and cozy ballroom which has spectacular view of the canyon and the golf course.  The centerpieces were tall, the skewered yellow mistine orchids on black wire, with a floating candle on top.  The short centerpieces were cylinders filled with bright yellow gerbera daisies, white stock, white hydrangea, and black curly willow.

The head table — doesn’t the bright yellow just pop on the black — very pretty!

Thank you, Jillian and Brian, for allowing Reher’s to be the florist for your beautiful wedding day!  Mazel Tov!!

Note from the Wedding Florist…  “Reher’s is ALWAYS willing to repurpose as many floral pieces as possible as we did in Jillian and Brian’s wedding.  Aisle clutches, for instance, can be placed in bathrooms, on bars, or on buffet tables — anywhere that needs a pop of color!  The tall cylinders that were used for the aisle during the ceremony were repurposed as centerpieces during the reception.”

CROSSLINE’S AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL CHAPEL WAS THE SETTING FOR BRANDI & MATT’S WEDDING

For all of you who do not know, Crossline Community Church (formerly Lakeshores Church) has an amazingly beautiful chapel to have a wedding and a reception.  Gayla and her team at Crossline are the absolute best to work with, and they would love to talk to you about having your wedding and reception at their chapel on the lake.

Brandi was a bride that knew what she wanted, and we love that at Reher’s.  She chose a very simple but elegant bouquet of all black magic roses.  The beautiful red color of these roses will definitely pop next to her ivory, almost white, gown.  And, of course, Matt’s boutonniere of one black magic rose was equally as simple but elegant!

In stark contrast — another thing we love, love, love here at Reher’s — all of Brandi’s attendants wore red dresses and carried all-white bouquets.  The accent color was black!  Just beautiful!

As was stated above, the Chapel on the Lake is gorgeous inside and outside.  Reher’s only decorated the unity candle and attached a few aisle clutches and black ribbon on each side of the aisle.  Simplicity is key in this beautiful chapel!

Note from the Wedding Florist…  “When the setting for a wedding is as beautiful as the Chapel at Crossline, you can never go wrong with simplicity.  The warm feel of the wood and warm colors of the stones are to be enjoyed in and of themselves.”

KATHIE AND GREG’S “HOWDOWN & COUNTRY” WEDDING AT CAMP PENDLETON

Bright and happy sunflowers, red and white dahlias, and bright red gerbera daisies, bright yellow gerbera daisies, and solidaster were used to create a casual, country wedding of Kathie and Greg on Camp Pendleton in Oceanside.  Kathie and Greg had Reher’s make their centerpieces in Mason jars that Greg uses for his canning.  Not only will these fun arrangements adorn the tables, but some of Greg’s canned “Chow Chow” (all you from the South know what I’m talking about; right?), his canned spirited  pears, and his canned blueberries with brandy were part of the table decor — just too cute!

Kathie and Greg also brought in one of their old, rusty buckets for us to make an arrangement to go on the buffet table.  We love, love, love doing “untraditional” weddings!

Note from the Wedding Florist… “Reher’s is ALWAYS happy to use any kind of containers that anyone wants us to use.  In this case, we used old canning jars and an old rusty bucket that belongs to Kathie and Greg.  Too cute and too fun!!  Thank you, Greg, for your service to our country.  Semper Fi.”

TRONICA AND KYLE’S WEDDING AT FRANCISCAN PLAZA IN SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO

Today starts an incredibly busy weekend of weddings at Reher’s!  Reher’s is honored to be a part of  Tronica and Kyle’s wedding at the beautiful Franciscan Gardens in the historic part of downtown San Juan Capistrano.  Anne Watson and Abbi Kidwell are on site event managers that are more than happy to help you with any questions you have about the venue.  The fabulous 24 Carrots is the in-house caterer for Franciscan Gardens.  As Ina Garten would say, “How bad is that?”  And Reher’s says, “Not bad at all!”

The colors that Tronica and Kyle chose are soft coral, light pink with a touch of white.  These aisle clutches were made of roses, lisianthus, green hanging amaranthus, and stock.

In addition to the clusters of flowers in the soft corals, light pink, lime green and white, the arch was decorated with vine in keeping with the very, very rustic setting of Franciscan Gardens as well as the whole feel of downtown San Juan Capistrano.

A look at the aisle and the arch at the end!  The chiavari chairs make it!

Beautiful Bride Tronica! She is beyond stunning!  Reher’s hopes she takes us up on our suggestion to go across the street to The Swallows Inn after the reception!  We’re certain all the folks would love to see her in this dress!

Even though Tronica is a television producer, she and her attendants were quite hands-on in making some of the items for her wedding.  Tronica actually made all the centerpieces for the reception as well as the place card “window.”  If she ever want to give up her day job, she’s got a job at Reher’s!!

The “girls” and the bride in what they dubbed “The Peacock Picture.”  No doubt these gals are going to have a rip roarin’ time tonight in beautiful San Juan Capistrano!

Note from the Wedding Florist… “Thank you, Tronica and Kyle, for allowing Reher’s to be a small part of your special day.  Any time we are involved in a couple’ wedding day we consider it to be a true honor.  Congratulations and best wishes for an incredibly happy life together!”

Reher’s was HONORED to be a part of the Women’s Cancer Research Foundation’s 6th Annual Benefit

The BEAUTIFUL Balboa Bay Club & Resort  in Newport Beach was the setting last night for the incredibly fun, moving, and inspirational Women’s Cancer Research Foundation’s 6th Annual Benefit Gala.  The theme of the gala this year was “Celebrate – Hope – Cure.”  WCRF is truly committed to all three of those ideals.  A dear, dear friend of Reher’s, Carlina Thomas, Executive Director of WCRF, was the driving force behind this amazingly successful event.

Reher’s was beyond grateful to be able to provide the centerpieces, which included some stunning shoes from Guess, Calvin Klein, Pour la Victoire, and Enzo Angiolini’s fall collection.  These AMAZING shoes were not only used as the focal point of some of our arrangements but they were also auction items – such a FUN and creative idea!

These STUNNING burgundy suede pumps were nestled on top of an arrangement of white and ivory roses, white hydrangea, white dahlias, white lisianthus, and white stock.  Check out the stitching on the inside of the shoe.  Love, love, love these shoes.

The tall centerpieces for the event consisted of a pave of white and ivory roses, white hydrangea, white dahlias, white lisianthus, and white stock.  The idea was to keep these arrangements simple and elegant.  It’s this writer’s opinion we succeeded!!!

Reher’s wants to extend a VERY SPECIAL thank you to La Tavola Linens for providing the exquisite linens for this worthy event.  Reher’s is beyond grateful to La Tavola Linens for being a part of WCRF’s gala.  Lori Chavez, you and your  crew at the La Tavola’s Newport Beach location went out of your way to make this happen, and AGAIN we can’t thank you enough!

Another fabulous vendor that participated in the gala was the wonderful and always sweet (ha,ha,ha) Sandee Creager of Candee by Sandee.  Your beautiful display atop a shimmery La Tavola Linen, Sandee, was just the right way to cap off the evening!

Last but CERTAINLY not least, Reher’s would like to extend a very special thank you to Danielle Staffieri, Director of Catering and Conference Services, and Sharon Bounvongxay, Catering Sales Manager, at The Balboa Bay Club & Resort for their total support and commitment to making this a magnificent and memorable gala.  All the “little” touches including the shoe on the creme brulee (*YUMMY*) dessert plate truly made this event perfect in every way.  You both are FABULOUS!
